4th Dimension Sober Living Resident Agreement and Rules

Effective Date: July 1, 2025

Welcome! The following rules are designed to help clients in early sobriety learn discipline and begin to live by the principles of the 12 steps which can lead to long term recovery. 4th Dimension Sober Living staff will be available to assist in various ways to help set each client for success. The agreement may be terminated by 4th Dimension Sober Living at any time for noncompliance at its sole discretion.

​Relapse Policy

  1. ​4th Dimension Sober Living is an abstinence based program. Any and all drug use on or off property is prohibited and grounds for immediate discharge.
  2. ​If a client is suspected of being under the influence, they will be required to test immediately and their belongings are subject to search. If the client refuses to test it is considered a positive and the client will be subject to discharge.

​Drug Testing

​All residents will be required to take random drug tests. A refusal will be considered a positive and the client is subject to immediate discharge. If a client was allowed to admit while positive for any substance a weekly drug test will be required until the client is negative. Clients will have 30 days to test clean or be subject to immediate discharge.

​House Requirements

  3. ​All clients will be required to make 30 meetings in 30 days, house meetings do count.
  4. ​The house must be clean, ready and presentable at all times.
  5. ​Television remotes must be left in bedrooms at all times.
  6. ​Clients must sign out and back in when leaving the house.
  7. ​Chores will be assigned and must be completed and signed off by 8:00PM, though it is recommended chores be done before the client leaves home for the day.
  8. ​Clients are required to work, be enrolled in school, or volunteer a minimum of 20 hours a week

First Week

  1. ​Clients are required to be out of bed by 8 AM and dressed and ready for the day with their bed made by 9 AM Monday – Friday. THIS APPLIES UNTIL CLIENT IS EMPLOYED.
  2. ​Spend time working on resumes / applying for jobs.
  3. ​Make any doctor’s appointment necessary to avoid running out of medications.
  4. ​All medications must be taken as prescribed, meds will be logged. Any deviation from taking medications as prescribed, including refusing, will be grounds for immediate consequences by 4th Dimension Sober Living Staff.

​First 30 Days

  1. ​Clients will have 30 days to be employed, enrolled in school, or have a verifiable volunteer position.
  2. ​Clients are required to have a sponsor and meet at least once a week until step 7 is complete.
  3. ​Clients will not be given overnight passes during the first 30 days.
  4. ​Curfew is 10:00 PM Sunday-Thursday and 1:00 AM on Friday and Saturday.

​31 Days & Beyond

  1. ​Clients in good standing, i.e., rent is paid, client is employed, and can show proof the client is progressing through the steps with a sponsor, will be allowed two nights out each week, non consecutive, unless approved by the house manager with at least three days notice. The client is responsible for getting their chore covered while the client is out overnight.
  2. ​Curfew is 11 PM Sunday-Thursday and 1 AM Friday-Saturday All Visitors to Ascension House must remain in common areas.

​Prohibited Behavior

    1. ​Any drug or alcohol use on or off premises.
    2. ​Physical contact between clients and / or their guests.
    3. ​Physical altercation or verbal threats.
    4. ​Theft of any other client’s property, including food and toiletries.
    5. ​Theft of any other client’s property, including food and toiletries.
    6. ​Weapons of any kind on property.
    7. ​Disrespectful or aggressive behavior towards other clients or staff.
    8. ​No participation or involvement in any illegal activity, including new arrests or warrants. This includes not driving without a valid license or having up to date insurance on the personal vehicle.
    9. ​Physical damage to 4th Dimension Sober Living property.
    10. ​Missing curfew without prior permission, just because a request is made does not mean permission will be granted.
    11. ​Repeated violations or failure to comply with the house rules.
    12. ​Vaping and smoking are not allowed inside.
    13. ​Burning candles or incense.
    14. ​If a client has been unsuccessfully discharged from the 4th Dimension Sober Living they are not allowed back on property, NO EXCEPTIONS.
    15. ​Visitors may not be left unattended while they are on property.
    16. ​Racist or derogatory comments of any kind.

​Infraction / Behavior Contract

​Behavioral contracts are a disciplinary action should you not follow house rules.

Based on a client’s willingness to change these may be reassessed regularly.

1st Infraction – Written verbal warning to have awareness around the behavior

2nd Infraction – Written warning and curfew with corrective measures

3rd Infraction – Zero tolerance behavioral contract: client will be discharged for violating

​House Ready Explained

      1. ​The client’s bed is to be properly and neatly made every weekday by 09:00 AM.
      2. ​All clothes and personal items must be stored neatly at all times.
      3. ​All closet doors and dresser drawers should be closed.
      4. ​No food or drink, other than water, is allowed in bedrooms.
      5. ​All suitcases are to be stored in the closet or garage.

      7. ​All residents are required to clean up after themselves.
      8. ​When using the kitchen, all dishes, pots, and pans must be cleaned immediately after every use. No dishes should be left in the kitchen sink. Use a dish, wash a dish.
      9. ​Do not leave personal items in the common areas.
      10. ​Residents must maintain good personal hygiene at all times.
      11. ​Turn off lights, televisions, and computers when not in use or before leaving the house.
      12. ​Make sure all outside doors are locked before leaving the property.

​Neighbors and Adjoining Properties

​It is imperative that clients at 4th Dimension Sober Living shall have respect and consideration for the surrounding neighbors. No loud music outside or in vehicles parked at 4th Dimension Sober Living. Park all vehicles properly in the driveway or behind the back gate and observe all speed limits in the neighborhood. There is no loitering in vehicles in front of the property. Please respect all members of the community, both inside and outside of the house.

​4th Dimension Sober Living may give progress reports to any of the following: payor, treatment center staff, referral

​Medication Policy

​Narcotic prescription medications are not permitted. No exceptions! All other prescribed medications must be taken as prescribed and instructed. NO DEVIATIONS. Any unauthorized use or abuse of prescription medications may result in the client being subject to discharge.
